Richard M. Sevrin
Attorney Richard M. Sevrin, Esq. is a partner in the Family Law Department of Lomurro Law, practicing in Toms River and Freehold, New Jersey. He has been practicing law in excess of 40 years in Matrimonial and Family Law matters. He has been a litigator in divorce, custody, domestic violence and related matters and has more recently accentuated his practice in Alternative Dispute Resolution which includes Mediation, Arbitration and Collaborative Law.
Mr. Sevrin is a New Jersey Court Rule 1:40 Mediator and is and has been a Matrimonial Settlement Panelist in both the Ocean and Monmouth County court programs. He is a Civil Arbitrator sponsored by the Ocean County Civil court system and a Collaborative Law lawyer being a member of the Jersey Shore Collaborative Law Group.
Mr. Sevrin is a trained Matrimonial Arbitrator by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He has been appointed by the courts as a Guardian ad Litem for children and is a trained Family Law Parental Coordinator.
He has lectured for the New Jersey State Bar Association Family Law Section, along with the New Jersey Association of Justice Family Law Programs sponsored by the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education. Mr. Sevrin is a trustee of the New Jersey State Bar Association representing Ocean County.
He is President Elect of the Ocean County Bar Association, a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association Family Law Executive Committee and a member of the New Jersey American Association of Justice. Mr. Sevrin is Chair of the Ocean County Family Law Committee of the Ocean County Bar Association and is a continuing member of the Monmouth County Bar Association Family Law Committee.
